Little Josh stayed with the sack of money and watched as the knights carried off Adartgicgul.
He
rolled a boulder over the sack of money lodging it between the rocks. He could hear the rapid flapping of wings getting closer and closer. Little Josh snuck into a cave-like opening, positioning himself to see what was coming.
Bleo landed on the rocks turning his head from side to side and hopping from rock to rock. "I'm sure the money landed over here," beaked off Bleo to himself.
"Got you," Little Josh said, as he grabbed Bleo across the back.
"Aark, you got me, aark."
"Looking for something?" Little Josh closed one of his eyes and stared down Bleo's beak into his black beady eyes.
"Enough with the staring already. Can't a bird look for food on the ground around here?"
Little Josh pulled back, while still holding Bleo across his back. "You are a sly one. He reached into his pocket, pulled out some grain, fed it to Bleo and released him on the ground. Little Josh sat and watched as Bleo ate.
As he got up and began to walk away, Bleo flew on his shoulder. "So, what's you name?"
"I'm called Little Josh."
"Me old Capitan called me Bleo. I like you Josh. Thanks for the food. See you soon." Bleo flew in the direction of the knights, and swooped down, circling them. "Aark, aark. Lousy thief, you Adartgicgul, lousy thief. Then, he flew off.
"Arr, me trusty friend. You're back. Did you see that scoundrel, Adartgicgul?"
"Shiny feather head men on horses captured Adartgicgul. Be coming this way, me Capitan."
"Then, we must prepare a welcoming party for the king's knights. After all, it's his birthday. Arr!" Written by L.N.C.
